Terms of Service
Last updated: July 14, 2026
These terms cover your use of FeatQ. By creating a board or using one, you agree to them. We have tried to keep them clear and practical. If you have questions, reach us through featq.com/contact.
1. What FeatQ is
FeatQ is a hosted feature-voting board. Board owners buy a board for their product or service. Their users, called voters, can submit feature requests, vote, and comment. Voters identify themselves by email address only. They may need to verify that address when a board owner requires it. Voters do not create FeatQ accounts.
A board can be public or private. Board owners manage settings, requests, and moderation through an admin area. For each board, we store its feature requests, votes, comments, and the email addresses voters provide. Board owners can see the voter email addresses for their own board.
2. Accounts
Board owners have accounts secured by an email address and password. You are responsible for keeping your credentials and any admin links secure. You must give us accurate account and billing information. You are also responsible for activity on the boards you own, including activity by people you allow into the admin area. If you think someone has accessed your account or an admin link without permission, tell us promptly and change your password.
Voters do not have accounts. They identify themselves by email address when they submit, vote, or comment.
3. Plans and payment
The monthly plan costs $29 per month per board. The yearly plan costs $228 per year per board. That is $19 per month billed yearly. The founding lifetime deal is a one-time $199 payment per board. It is limited to the first 50 boards sold on that deal.
Each board is billed separately. Stripe processes payments, and all prices are in USD. You authorize us and Stripe to charge the payment method you provide for your purchase and any subscription renewals.
We may change pricing. Existing subscribers will receive at least 30 days notice before a price change applies to them. A price change will never affect your current billing cycle. Monthly and yearly subscriptions renew until you cancel them. You can cancel a subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current monthly or yearly period, and your board stays available until then.
If you believe a charge is wrong, raise the dispute within 60 days of the charge through featq.com/contact. We will review it and reply in writing.
4. Refunds
We offer a full refund within 14 days of your first purchase of a board. This applies to a subscription or lifetime purchase. Just send us a note through featq.com/contact. The 14-day period starts on the purchase date. No hoops, no arguing.
We do not offer refunds on subscription renewals. If we terminate a paid board for any reason other than a violation of these terms, we will refund the unused portion of the payment that covers that board.
5. Plan limits and fair use
Plans may include limits on the number of feedback users per board. Feedback users are voters and submitters. Any limits for a plan are listed on our pricing page, which is the source of truth. Unless the pricing page says otherwise for a plan, each board may have up to 10,000 feedback users. If you are approaching that limit with genuine feedback, contact us and we will work something out. We may raise or lower this limit as FeatQ evolves, and the pricing page always shows the current limits.
Fair use means real feedback from real people. Automated voting, bulk-generated email identities, spam submissions, and using a board as generic data storage are not fair use. You may not use repeated or coordinated activity to make feedback look more popular than it is. A busy launch or a genuine wave of interest is still real feedback and does not become abuse just because it attracts many people.
We may enforce plan limits and fair use rules through technical measures. For example, we may apply rate limits or pause new votes on a board that goes past an applicable cap. If we change what we enforce in a way that affects your board, we will email you before the change takes effect.
6. Lifetime plan
Lifetime means the lifetime of the FeatQ service, not the lifetime of the person or company that bought the board. The plan requires a one-time payment and gives you access to that board for as long as FeatQ operates. We do not reserve a right to cancel an individual lifetime board except when it violates these terms.
If we permanently discontinue FeatQ, we will email you at least 14 days in advance. We will also provide an export of your board data. The export will include feature requests, votes, comments, and voter email addresses.
If the shutdown occurs within 12 months of your lifetime purchase, we will provide a goodwill refund. We will prorate it by the number of months that have elapsed. For example, if the service shuts down three months after your purchase, we will refund three quarters of the purchase price.
7. Your content and public boards
What board owners and voters post stays theirs. You give us permission to store, process, and display that content so we can provide the service. This license lasts only as long as needed to operate FeatQ and meet our legal obligations. You must have the right to post the content you add and to let us use it for these purposes.
Boards are public pages unless a board owner makes them private. Board owners are responsible for moderating their own boards. We may remove content or boards that are abusive, illegal, or spam. In serious cases, we may act without notice. Deleting a board deletes its content.
8. Acceptable use
Do not use FeatQ for spam, harassment, malware links, or illegal content. Do not try to break, overload, or scrape the service. Do not bypass plan limits, security controls, or access restrictions. Manipulating votes through fake identities, automation, or coordinated abuse is also prohibited.
Do not access another owner's admin area or private board without permission. Do not test the service for security weaknesses without our written approval. If you discover a possible security issue, report it to us and do not exploit it.
9. Voter data
Voters trust boards with their email address. Board owners can access voter email addresses for their own board. If you own a board, you must handle those addresses lawfully. You may use them only for feedback about the product or service that the board covers. Do not sell voter addresses, add them to unrelated marketing lists, or share them with someone who does not need them for that feedback.
We may use anonymized, aggregated usage statistics that never identify you, your board, or your voters, to improve FeatQ and to publish statistics.
Our privacy policy explains how FeatQ itself collects, uses, stores, and protects data.
10. Intellectual property
We keep all rights to the FeatQ software, design, branding, and site. You keep all rights to the content that you and your voters provide. These terms do not transfer ownership of your content to us or ownership of FeatQ to you.
You may use FeatQ as intended to run and manage your boards. You may not copy, resell, or create a competing service from our software, branding, or site without our permission.
If you send us ideas or suggestions about FeatQ, we may use them freely, without payment or credit to you.
11. No warranty
FeatQ is provided as is. We work to keep the service fast, secure, and available. We do not promise that it will always be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of bugs. You are responsible for deciding whether the service meets your needs.
Maintenance, internet failures, and services run by other companies can cause delays or outages. We will work to restore service when problems occur, but we do not guarantee a particular recovery time.
12. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect, special, or consequential damage, such as lost profits, lost business, or lost data beyond that limit. Nothing here excludes liability that the law does not allow us to exclude.
This limit applies to claims connected with FeatQ or these terms, whatever legal basis you use for the claim. It reflects the simple nature and price of the service.
13. Suspension and termination
You can stop using FeatQ at any time and ask us to delete your board. We may suspend or terminate a board that breaks these terms. When practical, we will give you a chance to fix the problem first. Serious or repeated abuse may lead to immediate action.
If we terminate a paid board for any reason other than a violation of these terms, we will refund the unused portion of your payment. We will close a lifetime board only for a terms violation or as part of a full discontinuation of FeatQ, as described in the Lifetime plan section.
We may temporarily suspend a board or account that is harming the service, other users, or its security. We will tell you why and work with you to resolve it. A suspension is not a termination.
If an account has no active subscription and no lifetime board, and has been inactive for 12 months, we may delete the account and its data. We will email you first.
14. Service changes and discontinuation
We may add, remove, or change features as FeatQ evolves. We aim to give notice of major changes that affect how you use a board. If we permanently discontinue the service, every board owner will receive at least 14 days notice by email. We will give everyone a way to export their board data before the service closes.
The export will cover the information stored for your board, including feature requests, votes, comments, and voter email addresses. You are responsible for downloading it during the notice period and storing your copy safely.
15. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore. Any dispute relating to these terms or FeatQ will be resolved in the courts of Singapore.
16. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the service evolves. Meaningful changes will appear on this page with a new date. If a change reduces what your plan includes, we will notify board owners by email before it takes effect. By continuing to use FeatQ after updated terms take effect, you accept them.
We will send notices to the email address on the board owner's account. You are responsible for keeping that address current.
