FeatQ vs Frill

Two flat-priced feedback boards. Frill adds surveys and announcements; FeatQ keeps to requests, votes, a changelog and agent access.

On this page

The short version

FeatQ is our product. The Frill facts on this page were checked on Frill's own pages on 2026-11-01.

Frill and FeatQ both charge a flat price, not a fee for each customer. As of November 2026, Frill says its pricing is "plan-based, not seat-based", and every plan lists unlimited teammates and unlimited tracked users. A tracked user is a customer who posts, votes or comments; neither product bills for them. FeatQ has one owner login per board and no team accounts.

The differences are scope and limits. Frill bundles ideas, a roadmap, announcements and surveys behind one widget, and its Startup plan holds 50 active ideas. FeatQ is a single feature request board with no cap on requests, voters who vote with only an email, a public changelog that emails the voters who opted in, and an MCP server on every board.

Pick Frill if several people need to manage the board, if you want surveys and announcements in the same tool, or several products on one plan. Pick FeatQ if you want an uncapped request board for one product and a direct path from votes to a coding agent.

The math for one board

Frill Startup at $25 a month is $300 a year billed monthly, with 50 active ideas. The first plan without an idea cap is Business at $49 a month, which is $588 a year billed monthly. FeatQ is $19 a month or $144 a year for the first 25 boards, then $29 a month or $228 a year, with no request cap at any price. At standard monthly pricing FeatQ costs more than Frill Startup; it costs less than Frill Business, the first Frill plan without an idea cap.

The math turns the other way with several products. Frill runs one board with unlimited topics, so a second product is a new topic, not a new bill. FeatQ prices each board on its own, so three products on standard yearly pricing is 3 x $228 = $684 a year.

Frill shows a monthly and a yearly toggle; the yearly amounts are not in the page text, so this page uses the monthly figures. Check the current numbers on Frill's pricing page. FeatQ has no free plan; it has a 14-day money-back guarantee.

Both products have a first-party MCP server. Frill's runs at mcp.frill.co and accepts OAuth or an API key. The FeatQ MCP documentation has the setup, and feedback tools with MCP compares more servers.

Where Frill wins

  • Team access. Every Frill plan lists unlimited teammates, so a whole team can sign in and manage ideas. FeatQ has one owner login per board and no team accounts.
  • Surveys and announcements sit next to the ideas board. As of November 2026, Startup includes 1 survey and Business includes 3, with NPS, CSAT, polls and open feedback as survey types. FeatQ has no surveys.
  • Voter login is configurable. Frill offers registered accounts, guest login with a name and email, anonymous voting, a custom mix, and SSO. FeatQ has one mode: voters enter an email and need no account.
  • Frill lists a Canny import and bulk CSV import and export on its pricing page, and its MCP server can read and write ideas, comments, votes and announcements.
  • One Frill plan covers every product through topics. Because Frill works on a single board with unlimited topics, a company with several products does not buy a second subscription. FeatQ is priced per board.

When FeatQ fits

  • One person runs the board, and you want no cap on active requests at the entry price. Frill Startup stops at 50 active ideas.
  • You want voters to use an email and nothing else, with an email to the voters who opted in when the request ships.
  • You want no cap on requests without moving up to Frill Business at $49 a month: FeatQ is $19 a month at launch pricing, $29 a month after that, or $199 once while Lifetime spots last.
  • You want a coding agent to read ranked requests, write a spec and update status through a board-scoped bearer key.
  • You do not need surveys or segmented announcements.

Moving from Frill

Frill lists bulk CSV export on its pricing page. FeatQ imports requests and vote counts from any CSV export of up to 5,000 rows: it guesses which column is which and shows a preview before anything is written. A CSV has no voters, so voters and comments stay behind; vote counts come across as numbers.

Start with the open requests that still matter, merge duplicates, and set honest statuses. The import guide covers CSV and the Canny and Featurebase importers.
