Photos from the onsen
Onsen staff and visitors can send photos from any onsen page, in English or Japanese, with the credit they choose. We check every photo by hand before it goes up.
Report a mistake in one tap
Prices and hours change. Every onsen page has a short form for a wrong price, hours, a closure or a tattoo rule. We check each report against the official site.
Town pages
One page per onsen town (Beppu, Kurokawa, Okuhida, Hakone, Kinosaki, Arima and more): every day-use bath, cheapest first, how to get there and which take tattoos.
Tattoo filter
Find baths that welcome tattoos, or allow them with a cover sticker. Every rule is checked against the bath's own website and shows the date we last checked it.
Famous lists
Japan's Three Great Onsen, the Three Ancient Springs, Top 10 towns and the quiet Secluded Springs, with a short story for each and where to go first.
Taxi card
Each onsen page has a card with the name and address in Japanese to show a driver or at the station.
Private baths and outdoor baths
Filters for kashikiri (rent a bath for your group) and rotenburo (open-air baths), plus mixed bathing and cheap-bath pages.
